East Village

Write. Share. Give.

Late this morning my husband and I headed to the East Village in NY to meet up with our 2 daughters.  My youngest daughter lives there.  My oldest daughter  traveled from Missouri to Chicago to pick up her boyfriend and then the two of them arrived in New York last night. So today we met up with them and went to brunch. We ordered the bread basket which included sugar donuts accompanied with nutella sauce, a fruit sauce and cream for dipping. In addition there was corn bread and muffins to go along with the sauces.  Delicious.  My husband had french toast with nutella.  Needless to say we are not hungry.  It was a bit over the top, but it is good to do that every now and again.  We had some great conversations and time to catch up. All is good.

That sounds like a delicious breakfast. I haven’t been eating much sugar lately so it sounds super indulgent. You are right that you have to do this every once in awhile. It must have been nice to have both daughters with you this morning.
