Ding, ding ding

I woke up at my usual 5:30 time.  There was a lot of chatter going on my phone.  I took a look and saw that my fellow teachers were chatting about the snow that was falling from the sky. whether we would have a delay today.  Shortly after there was a call from the school saying that we would have a 3 hour delay.  Teachers are giving feed back on the roads.  The school in my town just made an announcement for a 2 hour delay.  As I am writing this my phone continues to let me know what my fellow teachers are thinking about the 3 hour delay.  The roads are tricky and they are thinking that we may have a closure.  We will have to see. The local weather station says that March came in like a lion.  Happy March Slice of Life!

  1. Your post reminds me how weather impacts the lives of teachers and causes us to chatter about it often especially during the winter! I went to sleep already knowing my district would have a 2-hour delay. Then had to triple check this monring when one source said school was now closed. Lots of chattering about the weather in Arlington, VA! Happy Writing today!!

We had two snow days this week. There was little snow at my house, but more in the suburb where I teach. The “snow day” chatter is universal. I had many texts just like yours.
