A Gift

March Slice of Life

Our neighbor across the street is a widow and my husband and a neighbor across the street always help to clean up her driveway and her stairs.  When I got home today she called out to me. She wanted to give us some steaks for helping out. I thanked her, but told her it was not necessary. We chatted for a bit asking how she was doing. We both agreed that we are done with winter.

What a kind gesture from your neighbor who obviously appreciates the help from her neighbors. I’m done with winter too!!!

Now, the question is… did she force you to take the steaks even after you said it wasn’t necessary? I feel like that’s usually what happens! 🙂
