Early Spring!?

I am in the northeast and have had many snow days as a teacher.   I took them in stride.  More often than not the local weather people predicted what was coming and so there was seldom much of a surprise.  I took them in stride. Some winters we had so much snow I was getting disgruntled as the approaching days of summer were getting shorter because we had to make up the days.  This year I am reflecting about my attitude toward snow days.  I am going to very appreciative of our first snow day this year. An unplanned day off would be wonderful.  I find it hard to believe that we will have no week day snow days this year, but the groundhog’s thoughts about spring are making me a little bit unsure of the likelihood.   Time will tell.

  1. I’m not sure I trust the groundhog. Winter feels like it just began. I don’t buy that we’re going to be off of the hook in six weeks. (Though I wouldn’t mind that!)

It may very well be an early spring but there could still be a snow or ice storm after spring begins! I would bet April or May finds a weather trick or two! 🙂

I wrote about snow days (and lack thereof) and the groundhog’s prediction, too. Weather must be on a lot of our minds! 😉
