In the middle

March Slice of Life

March Slice of Life

I really enjoy Saturdays.  Saturday is in the middle of Friday and Sunday.  I love Friday nights, it is time to celebrate, but the evening to celebrate is not very long because I need to be ready for Saturday.  Saturdays are very productive.  I don’t feel as though I am trying to beat the clock.  This  Saturday I slept in an hour and a half later. I had breakfast with my girlfriend, shoveled some snow, did some laundry, a bit of house cleaning, did lots of schoolwork,  and went shopping with my husband.

Sundays always seem too short.  I feel like I am racing against the clock to be prepared for the coming week.  This Sunday I have a plan to quit working before evening to give myself some time to watch a movie or read a book and get to bed at a reasonable tme.

We agree sometimes Sunday feels like a race with the clock. It’s important to build in family (and self) time, otherwise we are not mentally prepared for the week ahead.

Love considering Saturday as the middle of Friday and Sunday. When you look at it that way it certainly is the most productive day of the weekend! And I’m jealous that you can shop with your husband. Mine, not so much.

Sounds like a good plan to give yourself the gift of time this Sunday.

  6. NO kidding – one of the changes I’ve made recently in life is NOT working Sundays, and it has really made a huge difference – but nothing quite stops those Mondays from coming!
