March Slice of Life

March Slice of Life

Let me put this out there:I have not been keeping up with my writing.  I had good intentions that have fallen by the wayside.

This week while on vacation a group of 20 strangers on a cruise ship signed up to go on a catamaran and go snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean.  It was amazing how quickly we all got to know each other. Most conversations began with, “Where are you from?”  It was interesting to hear how the conversations built on that one questions. Personal connections were made or questions were asked to gather more information.  Our catamaran host was amazing, standing at the counter handing out fruit, drinks and pretzels. As the end of the summer seems to be closing I cannot help thinking how important it will be for my class to experience that same feeling of camraderie.
