March Slice of Life

March Slice of Life

Words spoken

Sense of humor; laugh, chuckle, days later smiling at the memory

Words spoken

Anger spews, yelling, red face, heart pumping, days trying to shake it off

Words spoken

Heart feels squeezed, upset, quiet, tears. memory lingers

Words spoken

Heart is lifted, smiling, thankful,  years later grateful

Words spoken

Mind racing, avoid, silent, days later trying to forget

Your poem eloquently captures the power of words.

  2. I love the repetition of the words “words spoken.” It really ties together how our words can have so many ramifications.

    Beautiful poetry.
