March Slice of Life

March Slice of Life

I read Ruth Ayres  post Love Each Other (Story 8 of 40) and it has helped me to look at the everyday “mundane” duties of my life in a whole new way.  I do many chores for my family, the laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning the bathroom, etc.  There are many days I moan about them.   I don’t really want to do those things, but  I do them anyway often with little desire.  Ruth’s post helped me to see those everyday jobs from a different perspective.  She doesn’t want to do the laundry or match the socks, but she does it because she chooses love.  Now, whenever I do a mundane job that helps a member of my family, rather than thinking negatively about doing those jobs I will look at those jobs as an opportunity to show my love.  It is all about perspective.
