Read Aloud

March Slice of Life

March Slice of Life

I love read alouds.  I love watching students sitting on the edge of their seats dying to know what is going to happen next in the story.  When I stopped; a student asked what the next chapter was called ( he had read the book).  Another student whispered to me, “Is the next chapter when it happens (she had read the book as well)?  I whisper back, I read it a while ago, I am not sure if it is coming up in this chapter or not.  The first student wants to share with others in the class, and I quickly jump in, please don’t and he reluctantly says okay.

Can’t wait until tomorrow and either can they…

Read alouds are magical!

I always loved reading aloud to the class…and sometimes I gave in and would read the next chapter if they begged enough. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
