Weekend Observations

Car flipped over on the highway, luggage spilling from the trunk

Hugging family members

Seeing my sister looking healthy after months of chemo and radiation

Laughing until tears were running down our faces

A brisk walk in the morning at the beach

A surfer in the cold New England water

Mollusk shells hanging from trees (odd)

A parrot saying pretty baby to my niece.

A second Thanksgiving at my sister’s house

Conversation while washing dishes

Watching a never before family video

Seeing family members much younger, now deceased

First Thanksgiving in 3 years where my daughter has not been sick

Thanksgiving memories that will not be forgotten

Mostly good memories, but car flipped, luggage spilled is a disturbing visual. I always feel for the people in that situation as I say a brief prayer of thanks that is not me.

  2. Thankful you had a Thanksgiving where your family was healthy. I can understand how wonderful that feels.

Memories to hold on to… happy, funny, sweet (and even the odd and sad). These moments add up to life. Thankful with you!
