Monthly Breakfast

Today was my monthly breakfast with an old friend, Vera.  We met at work 24 years ago.  We worked weekends at a nearby hospital and we had great times.  We would meet at my house to exercise with Cindy Crawford often laughing as my two and three year old girls “exercised” with us.  The years went by and we changed jobs, our parents passed away, our children are grown, but we have maintained our monthly breakfast meetings.  It is a time to vent, share and laugh.  Life is good with Vera in my life.

Friends over the years–the best. What a wonderful thing to hold onto, monthly meals and friendship.

  2. There is nothing like a friend who knows your history because they lived through it with you. I bet Vera cherishes these monthly breakfasts, too.

How nice that you have been able to continue meeting for lunch after so many years. So many times we lose touch with others when we change jobs or locations. So glad you have not. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
