The border of our yard is surrounded by burning bush shrubs.
Every year there is a lone leaf that turns red in early July.
A red leaf appeared shortly after the Fourth.
It waves proudly above the pergola.
It is a reminder that summer is fleeting.
I appreciate the reminder to not get caught up in the busyness of life.
I sit on the deck, smell the flowers and listen to the birds.
Yep…and it’s a beautiful reminder to enjoy the present. I love the burning bush! xo nanc
Yes, we all need to stop, relax and enjoy each day.
Yes, we all need those reminders don’t we? I really enjoy nature! It’s been so hot during the day that we’ve been waiting until evening to go outside…enjoy the rest of summer!
Love that nature sends the reminder that summer is fleeting and you choose to savor the moment.
Oh good for you! Summer is so fleeting to say the least, we must enjoy it now because soon it will all be just a memory…and we will be knee deep into…well just the opposite of summer!
Now I will have to go out and look for that rogue leaf on our bushes. Thanks for the reminder to look at where we are not always looking at what looms ahead.
